Stewart's Story of his Holiday In Benidorm
In April I had a week's holiday in Benidorm in Spain and stayed at a large hotel called Hotel Flamingo, which was close to the sea. During my stay there I did many activities including swimming, archery, rifle range shooting, table tennis, sun bathing and crazy golf. Some days were nice and sunny so I could lounge next to the outdoor pool.
In the evenings after dinner, I saw many shows, including Queen's 'We will rock you', 'Mama Mia' Abba musical as well as 'Dirty Dancing' which I really enjoyed. I went on a bus to visit some local towns and really liked the bright colours of the Spanish houses.
The sea was only a 20 minute walk from the hotel. It wasn't warm enough to swim but I enjoyed walking along looking at the sights. I also saw many beautiful white doves which were next to a fountain. I held out my hands and they flew onto them!
I stayed an extra 3 days, because all the aeroplanes were grounded due to a volcano erupting in Iceland. I didn't mind the extension to my holiday as I was enjoying myself so much! In the end I travelled home through Spain and France on a coach, and then caught a Ferry to Dover and finally a coach back to Manchester airport.
It was an adventure being on such a long journey, and even though it was tiring at times, I coped really well and it didn't spoil my lovely holiday. I would like to go back one day in the future if I can save money.
