JANE'S VISIT TO TATTON PARK
Jane's visit to meet her adopted Cow
I went to Tatton Park to meet the cow I had adopted, her name is Rosie. When we got there we had a look round and saw reindeers, chickens, sheep, goats, pigs, donkeys and cows, but we could not find Rosie. We went up to the milking shed to have a look, but she wasn't there.
There were some wooden cows which you could practice milking on but I decided it was funnier to watch Roger have a go than do it myself. We went to the little shop to see if they had any cow pens, but they did not. While there we asked the lady where Rosie was and she took us back to the cows and showed us a cow that she thought was Rosie. She said that she would radio someone to find out for me.
After waiting a few minutes a man came to see us and said that unfortunately Rosie was out in the fields, but that I could meet Lou Lou their Jersey cow and that Rosie's baby was with Lou Lou too. Lou Lou was very nice and even let me stroke her, but I really wanted to meet Rosie. The man asked if I could wait half an hour for a children's party to end and then if I wanted he would take me to the field were Rosie was, so I could see her and her friends.
We went to the car for a brew while we waited and then off we went through all the mud and up to the field. The man shook a feed bucket and all the cows came charging over, it was fantastic. He told us about each one of the cows, how old they were and their names. It was great to finally meet Rosie. The man said that if I visit again and want to see Rosie, just to ask and someone will hopefully be able to take me to meet her.
I had a really good day and can't wait to go back.
