Annual Service Review from the
Care Quality Commission

We have received a letter from the Care Quality Commission (CQC) regarding our Annual Service Review which took place in December 2009.

Prior to this, some Staff and Service Users were asked to complete a survey and give feedback to CQC regarding the quality of support Link-Ability offers, to individuals living as tenants in their own homes.

If you would like to see a copy of this report, it can be found on the downloads page (also in accessible format). Alternatively, you can visit www.cqc.org.uk, if you wish to see this or any previous Annual Service Reviews.

CQC are recommending no changes to their inspection plan unless there was a concern about the quality of service or safety of the people we support.

Their next key inspection will be 16th November 2010.

May I take this opportunity to thank everyone who contributed to the last survey and remind everyone that you can make contact with CQC at anytime if you wish to do so, you don't have to be invited.

Vacancy!

Link-Ability has a vacancy within it's St Mary's Gate service.

St Mary's Gate is a purpose built bungalow in the centre of Euxton near Chorley.

The bungalow has Registered Home (with nursing) status and provides care to 3 individuals with complex health and social care needs, learning disability and/or physical disability.  A fully adapted room is currently available for a fourth person.
