Link Ability’s 25th Anniversary Event at Rivington Barn
On 2nd October 2014 Linkability celebrated its 25th Anniversary with over 200 guests at an evening of dancing, food, fun, speeches and awards at Rivington Barn.
The night was a great opportunity to show how we ensure that people ‘Live Life to the Full’.
Everyone was keen to show off their dance moves especially when Peter and Jen from Dance Syndrome demonstrated and led a routine in a lively interactive session.
Our Chair of Trustees Paul Jonas thanked everyone who had helped Linkability reach this important milestone especially David Naden (Executive Director) for both his leadership and vision in enabling Linkability to continue its work.
People we support who have volunteered at staff interviews, helped with quality checks and given their time in other ways were thanked and presented with prizes.
The occasion also marked the winners of our new staff award scheme which has been funded by independent companies with nominations coming from all stakeholders involved in Linkability. Best practice awards were given to Kathleen Blackledge (Gold) and Darren Wright (Silver). The new-comer awards went to Michael Hodgkinson (Gold) and Sarah Leary (Silver). The Leadership award was presented to Amanda Thompson (runner-up Sam Croniken). Highly commended awards were received by Martin Ormerod and Carole Porter for their exceptional back-office contributions.
